Thanks for checking out 'The Wailing Wall Of Sound' - current contender for the 'Worlds’ Largest Homemade Guitar Amp'.
Now based in Vancouver, I built & designed the wall of speakers in France between May and July 2008. The WWOS is a fully-operational, 2000watt guitar amp with 168 speakers. ...and is very cool. (!!) The WWOS is a unique part of selected B-MONSTER
gigs - we play garage-rock @ www.bmonsterband.com
Last year BMNSTR/WWOS participated at art & music events in Vancouver involving audiences, bands, DJs & artists to perform, sign the back of the wall, or play theremin between sets. Whenever possible, we encourage online interativity - txt-messaging, viewing, or playing remotely to the venue.
As part of the Berlin Wall Festival in 2009, we had friends play guitar from Japan, Vancouver and Hannover - all in real-time,
their faces projected on in-house screens. Used at normal stage-volumes for songs, we have last-chord 'turn-it-to-ten' WWOS moments - sometimes dragging audience members onstage to play the last-chord....creating a sub-bass rumble throughout the venues. A lot fun.
The most recent BMNSTR/WWOS gig was @ The Roxy May 3 in Vancouver for Guinness Book Of Records. B-MONSTER is performing around Vancouver - without the WWOS - check www.bmonsterband.com for D/L sounds, gig dates, vids & info.
Cheers - Come and get involved!
John Lee.
